Which sandwich would you choose?

Which of these two sandwiches do you think tastes better? Which one would you buy? Or which one would you choose if you were going to eat one or the other?

Most people will choose the same one. The interesting thing is that they are both made with exactly the same ingredients - so they essentially taste the same.

This is something I find fascinating about food. We eat with out eyes first, and the way something looks ultimately influences our expectations before we even take a bite.

I have just uploaded a brand new video - Which one Tastes Better? - where I take a very ordinary roast beef sandwich and show you how a few simple changes can completely change the way it looks, and we don't add a single extra ingredient.

The result is the same sandwich, but it feels like a completely different lunch.

This is one of the most useful things when learning a little more about food presentation. You don't need to cook something complicated or buy expensive ingredients to make food feel special. Often the food you already have is more than enough... you just need to look at it a little differently!
