Filled wraps are perfect for lunch, picnics, parties or a quick, colourful snack. They're so easy to make and always enjoyed!
Ingredients:
Makes approximately 36 pieces.
- 1 packet fresh tortilla wraps (6 pack), preferably rectangle shaped
- Leafy salad greens
- A mixture of red cabbage, carrot and spinach - or coleslaw
- Optional ingredients - gherkins/pickles, grated cheese, tomato, cucumber
- Optional meat options - tinned tuna, sliced ham, shredded chicken, smoked salmon
- Chutney, tomato relish or pesto
- Mayonnaise or aioli
These are a few ideas, but you can use any filling you have on hand and enjoy.
Method:
- If you're using circular tortilla wraps, cut a small slice off each side to make them rectangular. This makes them easier to cut later.
- Pipe a thin zigzag of mayonnaise on each tortilla.
- Add a strip of leafy salad greens approximately 1/3 of the way up the wrap.
- Add a layer of all the remaining ingredients you are using, on top of each other, keeping it all in a line.
- Fold the bottom of the tortilla over the filling ingredients and tightly roll it up.
- Cut into thirds, and then cut each third in half, but on a slight diagonal. This exposes the ingredients and makes for a lovely presentation.
- Arrange on a serving board and keep covered and refrigerated until you're ready to serve.
