Peanut Butter Caramel Sauce
This peanut butter caramel sauce is a dreamy twist on a classic flavour combination - it's rich, creamy and irresistible moreish. With the perfect balance of sweet and salty, it's delicious drizzled over ice cream, brownies and pancakes.
It's easy to make and perfect for gifting - just bottle it up for a homemade treat that's sure to impress.
Ingredients:
Fills a 250-300ml jar.
- 60g (2 oz) butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Pinch of salt
- 1/3 cup crunchy peanut butter
Method:
- Put the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, cream and salt into a small pot.
- Gently bring to the boil, then simmer for 2 minutes, whisking continuously.
- Whisk in the peanut butter and stir for another minute or so.
- Use straight away, or bottle and refrigerate until needed.
